Your Procedure and Recovery
Dr. Zavell offers general anesthesia and IV sedation to help patients feel more at ease during treatment. Once you are comfortable, Dr. Zavell will begin the process of removing the excess skin and fatty tissue from your eye by making a small incision in the natural creases of your upper lids. This helps any scarring following surgery remain hidden. After removing excess skin and fat, the remaining skin will be repositioned, lifted, and sutured closed using special ultra-fine sutures.
